Attend Local Seminars to Trim Travel Costs
– February 14, 2011
Don’t pay travel and educational expenses for staff to attend continuing professional education courses when it might be cheaper to bring the speaker to you. It is probably easy to find another company that would want to share these costs.
If you must attend an out of town session, send only a select number of people to the same external seminar. After the seminar, have them run an internal meeting covering the essence of what they learned.
This is Profit Enhancement Idea #30 in Heard, McElroy & Vestal's 100 Ways: The Profit Enhancement Process series. The purpose of the series is to assist business owners and managers in cutting costs and increasing revenues by working smarter, not harder.
