John Dean Named Circle of Excellence Award Winner

Heard, McElroy & Vestal Managing Partner John Dean was one of eight people to receive the Louisiana State University in Shreveport 2009 Circle of Excellence Award. The Circle of Excellence Award honors outstanding alumni who are leaders in the community, region or nation, and who are using their degrees in a significant manner, either professionally or through volunteerism, to bring recognition to LSUS. Award winners were honored at the LSUS Alumni Association's Annual Meeting in May.
John plays a very strong leadership role within the firm and our community. He is president of the Government Committee, Committee of One Hundred, and chairman of the Finance Committee for the Christus Schumpert Board. His community service ranges from past chairman of the board of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, and past vanguard chairman of the United Way to current service on the boards of Volunteers of America and Holy Angels Residential Facility.
