Valuation Analysis
HMV, through its wholly owned affiliation
with Business Valuation Consultants, LLC, provides Valuation Analysis
to many client types. A Valuation Analysis is the process used in identifying
a value of an interest in a business entity.
Valuing an interest in a privately held
business can become complicated and confusing, since there is no active
public market to develop the value amount. In emotionally charged disputes
leading to a marital dissolution, our ability to represent either party
or both parties mutually is an option that can help create a rational
dialogue for property settlement resolution.
The most common types of valuations include
the following:
- Valuation upon purchase, sale, or merger
of a business enterprise
- Estate valuation upon death
- Valuation upon division of family assets
in a divorce.
Our extensive certified public accounting
experience and our specialized training in business valuations equates
to a high level of competency in all areas of valuations. Business
Valuation Consultants is comprised of CPAs and MPAs holding the CVA
(Certified Valuation Analyst) and/or ABV (Accredited in Business Valuation)
designations.
The ABV designation is accredited by the
AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants), and the
CVA designation requires board testing and certification by NACVA (National
Association of Certified Valuation Analysts).
