Bio

In June 2004, Emily joined HMV at the Shreveport location, where she currently serves as a Tax Partner. At HMV, Emily prepares individual and business income tax returns, assists clients with financial planning, and specializes in oil & gas, investments, family owned businesses and foreign transactions. In addition to being a Tax Partner, Emily works closely with the firm’s recruiting team in determining staff needs, facilitating on-campus interviews at area universities, and scheduling in-office interviews.

Emily graduated summa cum laude from Louisiana Tech University in March 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and in November 2005 with a Master of Professional Accountancy. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants.

In 2008, Emily was a recipient of the “40 under 40” award of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce and has been involved in the Chamber’s Young Professionals Initiative as well as Leadership Shreveport. A participant in the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations (LANO) leadership program in 2010, Emily has remained active in our community as former Treasurer and Finance Committee member of the Bossier Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, former Treasurer and Board Member of the Cohabitat Foundation and as past President of the LCPA – Shreveport Chapter. She currently serves as the Secretary and Treasurer of Central School Corporation.
