Mitchell joined the partnership at HMV when the firm merged with a Texas-based firm formerly known as Curtis Blakely & Co. in 2023. He works out of the Longview, Texas location and continues to serve clients by offering audit, consulting, and tax services with emphasis on telecommunications, water utilities, not-for-profits, and audits of employee benefit plans.

Mitchell is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting as well as a Master of Professional Accountancy. He frequently volunteers as a guest lecturer at his alma mater in addition to other state and national organizations. Mitchell joined Curtis Blakely & Co. in 2013 and became Shareholder in 2022.
