In 2005, Carla started her career with Smith Pugh and Seal, LLP. Ten years and a merger later, she joined Heard, McElroy and Vestal as part of the Accounting Services department in Shreveport. Totaling eighteen years in the accounting industry, Carla can accommodate any small business clients with their accounting needs.

Carla earned an Associate Degree of Science in Criminal Justice prior to working for Smith Pugh & Seal LLP for ten years. She began to volunteer her time with CASA (Court Appointed Specialty Advocate) four years ago and continues to today. She also has served on the Community Advisory Board for Easter Seals from 2017 to present and has been on the Board of Directors for the Krewe of Gemini as Treasurer from 2018 to presents. Her term for both Boards extends into 2022.
