Layne joined Heard, McElroy & Vestal in July 2026 after spending nine years with KPMG LLP. Based in the firm’s Monroe, Louisiana office, he primarily serves clients throughout Louisiana and Texas. His areas of expertise include audit and assurance services, with a specialization in the telecommunications industry.
Layne earned both a Bachelor of Accountancy and a Master of Accountancy from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana, in 2016. He has been a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Louisiana since 2018 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (LCPA).
Layne is actively involved in his community through his local church and by volunteering with various charitable organizations throughout North Louisiana.
